Title: ANAlogies

"Photo portraits of 78 persons named “Ana” will be taken in a B&W standard

format to be interpreted by a card reader and/or a physiognomist whom

will not know about the common name. Once I have all the

interpretations together I will try to find the traits that define the character

of the name. Afterwards, I will write an essay about the process".

common, let´s see what the physiologist has to say. She is so nice, her place

When I meet people, at the beginning, I tend to be shy and introvert.  And one thing I love about meeting new people is that every person takes something out from your personality and that is what makes you like him or her.
Pepe Casanova is the kind of person that has a lot of charm and an excellent sense of humor, he is very transparent and shows the way he really is from the second you meet him. I found him really interesting, he loves music and understands and talks about life so sure and happy with himself, that makes you want to be close to him. I took this photograph at Carlos Temores kitchen, while we were having a few beers and a very nice chat.

If you want to know more about him, visit his blog!

I don´t know why I found a bit more difficult writing about people who are close to me and that represent a lot in my life in many ways. While I was studying at college I started taking photography classes, one of my first courses was with Ramiro Chaves as my professor, where I learned a lot. I met him on a private conference that a magazine called Picnic organize with two photographers, one of them Steve Pyke. We have developed a really cool friendship. He is so talented, and I had learned a lot of things from him, about him he is my inspiration for a lot of things, I admire him.
He is from Argentina and has been living 8 years in Mexico now. He is has a lot of charm and girls love him, he is such a gentleman and good friend!
He is very creative, talented and has all this interesting projects. great photographer.
I took this photo at my house, he likes to look serious which I don´t like, but I chose this portrait cause I think it has a lot of attitude and personality.

It´s time to talk about cool girls! yesterday I talked about Rachel and now this amazing girl, a girl I met yesterday.
Her name is Josée Pedneault, she grew up in a small town in the region of the Saguenay Lac-St-Jean, in Quebec, Canada. She now lives and works in Montréal.  I collaborated on her new project called "Con todo mi afecto" a video, photo and web project that over 4 months will be completed with the participation of the local community in México. " I am making myself available to create works of art in exchange and in response to an object that people are giving me. These objects must have particular sentimental value to the original owners. In return to each of these items, I am creating original works of art that are numbered, signed and given back to the owner of the object it echoes. Each work is therefore created specifically for each person, trying to match the sentimental value of the given object."
I gave her my special object, she and Ramiro came yesterday to my house. We had coffee and a great time taking some photos, she is so cool I really like her! She is very interesting and her life is so amazing, she travels a lot and has all this amazing projects.
I took this photo at my room and use my new portrait back round which I just bought in Tepoztlan last weekend for 30 pesos, isn´t it cool!?
If you are interested on her project and her please check out this website and hope to see the result of this project very soon!

I took this photo almost 8 months ago in London.
I was at Rough Trade on Brick Lane, I walked into a small
chilling area and there he was! Erlend ØyeI have to confess I am in love with him.
I think he has such a sensibility for music, he has make me cry,
smile and dedicate his songs!
He is quiet...  as if every movement is planned.
I got to tell him how much I love his music which was cool but I found myself
as a groupie, that at the end made me feel embarrassed!
He collaborates on  "The whitest boy alive", "Kings of Convenience" and "Royksopp"
I love his music! Listen to him!

I have been writing about people that I have met along the way and find really interesting. For some reason, I realize there are more men than women which I have talked about, which was completely unconscious.
Amanda Lepore represents a feminine figure, even though she is a man.
She is known for being the muse of David Lachapelle.
I was in NY having some drinks at this place called "The Beauty Bar" and
she was the dj of the night.
Her looks are impressive, she resembles the combination of the cartoon of Jessica Rabbit and Marilyn Monroe, who could imagine that the original body is of a man...
She was very easy going and loves the camera!
I was told she/he was mexican... she told me that night that she was
half German and half (I didn´t understand! ha!) and I couldn´t confirm
the info.
check her, a very special character..
